Last spring I put together a collection of 7 designs called Tuscan Knits. I focused on yarns from Tahki yarns for the entire collection. I enjoyed working with the folks at Tahki Stacy Charles so much that I’m at it again. This time with five vests all knit with Tahki yarns:
Kits will be available soon for all five of these designs.
Kismet is a personal favorite of mine from last year’s new yarns. I love the color palette and am excited to see the addition of a rich dark brown this year. My next collection might very well be all in Kismet! Shale is knit all in one piece with seams only at the shoulder and back neck. Simple yet elegant to wear.
Mesa is a wonderful super wash merino available in 7 tonal prints. Obsidian is knit side to side and features short rows to add that extra swing at the hips.
Zona is a wonderful blend of 35% Cotton, 28% Wool, 26% Poly Acrylic, and 11% Nylon. It’s available in 6 beautiful tonal tweeds. “Moonstone” has a figure flattering cable that meanders over the front and back and slit pockets in both fronts.
Gemini is a thick yarn that knits up at 2 sts per inch. It is made up of 80% wool and 20% acrylic. This vest could easily be knit in a weekend! The front tabs are made with short rows, but go very quickly and are explained so even a novice could tackle them.
Tara Tweed comes in such a wide range of colors; this vest could take on many looks! Here it is done with neutrals, but it would be stunning in a range of colors. It is knit in strips, so would also be a great project to learn intarsia.
