Skill level beginner
- Tahki Yarns “Tandem” (107 yds/50gr; 28% cotton, 28% viscose, 28% nylon, 16% acrylic):
1 ball #003
- Size US8 (5mm) 24” circular knitting needles or size to obtain gauge.
- Stitch marker
- Crochet hook size D
- Tapestry needle
15.5 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch pattern.
To save time, take time to check gauge.
1) This pattern is joined into a circle and requires a lot of stitches to be cast on. Be especially careful to check stitches before joining to avoid a twist. 2) The crochet or chain cast on will create a beautiful edge that mirrors the bind off, but any cast on can be used. Work it as the main yarn instead of as a provisional cast on and continue with the pattern after the cast on.
K or k: knit
P or p: purl
RS: right side
Mistaken Rib Stitch pattern
worked over a multiple of 4 sts.
Round 1: (RS) *K2, p2; rep from *.
Round 2: K1, *p2, k2; rep from *, end p2, k1.
Repeat these 2 rows for pattern.
Using the crochet or chain cast on or your preferred method, cast on 208 sts. Place marker and join round.
Work rounds 1 and 2 until approximately 2” and bind off all stitches in patttern.
Darn in all ends.
