UPDATE- Page in Progress!
Wildflower offers a wide range of classes year round. We have beginning knitting and beginning crochet nearly every month. Other classes include intermediate knitting and crochet, our bring your own project workshop and sweater workshop. From time to time, other classes such as sock knitting, tunisian crochet, and various technique or project classes are offered, too. We even offer a membership site, the Knitting Monthly, for ongoing learning!
Both beginning knitting and beginning crochet last 4 weeks. They meet for 90 minutes once a week for four weeks. Two projects are completed as you learn the basic stitches to make first a headband, then a hat. With the knowledge you learn from the beginning classes, you’ll be able to either forge ahead on your own to explore new techniques or sign up for the intermediate classes.
In the intermediate knitting class, more basic techniques are covered such as picking up stitches, knitting with circular needles, changing colors, decreasing, eyelets (foundation for lace knitting), I-cord and felting. The projects include a hat and felted bag.
The intermediate crochet class is structured more around stitch patterns. In the intermediate crochet class, you will learn more stitch patterns, working in a circle, and some popular trims. Patterns will be provided for each technique, but are optional for the class.
We also offer a couple ongoing classes: Bring your own Project and Sweater Workshop. Both of these meet on Saturdays from 1pm to 2:30 or 2pm to 3:30.
Beyond that, the best ways to keep in touch with what classes are currently offered are:
